With a tagline like “Made to last. Priced for all,” it’s no wonder that last year’s Motorola Moto E, a 3G smartphone from Motorola, was widely praised for its capabilities, design, and affordable price point. Now Motorola has taken it a step further with the announcement of the Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor—with a new Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) 3G version powered by the Snapdragon 200 also available—the new Moto E with 4G LTE runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with 1 GB RAM, and 8GB of internal memory. A 4.5-inch qHD (540 x 960) display is protected by durable Gorilla Glass and a water repellant hardware design.
The 5-megapixel rear-facing camera on the new Moto E can be activated just by twisting your wrist. Motorola’s quick capture camera feature is launched with two twists of the wrist, and with a third twist it switches over to the front-facing camera for quick selfies or video calls. No screen taps required.
Moto E 2nd Gen smartphones will be available in black or white, and are expected to be sold in more than 50 countries. Both versions are currently available unlocked in the United States at the Motorola web site.
