The OPPO R5, measuring at just 4.85 mm thick, is one of the thinnest smartphones ever made. But slim and stylish doesn’t mean less sturdy—the device’s steel micro-arc frame is strong enough to pierce watermelons.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, the OPPO R5 runs on ColorOS 2.0 (based on Android 4.4 Kit Kat), and boasts 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal memory, and 4G LTE connectivity. The powerful multi-core Snapdragon processor has the built-in smarts to power up only the cores it needs when it needs them, engineered to support longer battery life and seamless multi-tasking between snapping pictures and favorite apps. And 64-bit processing capabilities mean you and your device are prepared for the upcoming wave of cutting-edge applications and new computing environments.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon Display Engine and Qualcomm Adreno GPU help deliver stunning resolution–-vivid colors and textures will be clear as day. The detail and color richness of the R5’s 5.5-inch AMOLED display (443 ppi) will help bring photos and videos to life, make text appear sharp and clear, and allow you to populate more content on a screen.

The R5’s Pure Image 2.0 intelligent camera includes some leading Snapdragon camera technologies that add DSLR-like effects to your smartphone.  Fast Focus, supported by Qualcomm UbiFocus technology, takes the worry out of focusing on a particular part of the picture by letting you take the picture first—and decide whether to focus near or far later, creating a bokeh effect. Qualcomm Chromaflash is designed so you take two photos at once—one with flash, one without. The final image combines the brightness from the flash image with the color accuracy from the other, and creates a single, well-balanced shot. And the touch-to track feature is made to allow you to track an object and take sharp, focused photos when the object is moving.

The Snapdragon 615 also supports Fluence HD noise cancellation technology in the OPPO R5, designed to reduce unwanted background noise in phone calls—whether the roar of crowds or cars—no matter if it’s you or the person you’re calling. And with the Bluetooth powered OPPO O-Music remote, you can play music or snap a photo with just a click.
