We’re proud to announce that over 60 premium mobile device models from a number of the world’s leading smartphone makers will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor–the ultimate connected computing processor, and the newest of the premium tier Snapdragon 800 series processors.

Snapdragon 810 is designed to support the most advanced mobile experiences of any Snapdragon processor, including fast connectivity, 4K Ultra HD video capture and playback, and console quality gaming. And since connectivity is at the heart of the mobile revolution, Snapdragon 810 processors support a trifecta of features designed to deliver the fast connections you need everywhere – with LTE Advanced (with Cat 9), 802.11ac with Qualcomm MU|EFX (MU-MIMO), and our Qualcomm RF360 Front End Solution antenna tuner engineered to increase LTE coverage. A few Snapdragon 810-based devices, including the LG G Flex2 and Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, have already been announced.

“Xiaomi prides itself on embracing the leading-edge of innovation for premium mobile devices,” said Lei Jun, Xiaomi Founder, chairman and CEO. “We make every effort to bring the newest and most innovative technology to our enthusiastic customers, drawing on the best in the industry. Our collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies on the Snapdragon 810-powered Mi Note Pro provides us the ability to deliver more performance, features, and user capabilities to a mobile device than ever before. This is what our customers want and what Xiaomi will deliver with the Snapdragon 810.”

As for the rest of these Snapdragon 810 powered devices, we’ve promised not to ruin the surprise, so you’ll have to wait for the announcements from their respective companies. Thanks in part to the Snapdragon 810, the top-tier smartphones and tablets of 2015 will boast plenty of new features to make life in today’s connected world as seamless as possible.

Anybody who uses their mobile device for on-the-go entertainment will be pleasantly surprised by the superior capabilities of the Snapdragon 810. Thanks to the Qualcomm Adreno 430 GPU, console quality gaming will be supported wherever you are with a 30 percent increase in performance at 20 percent less power drain than the previous generation. For movie buffs and mobile cinematographers, there’s support for end-to-end 4K Ultra HD with video capture and playback (on-device, or via external mirroring with Miracast). Of course, no movie is complete without audio, and with Dolby Atmos support on Snapdragon 810, users can look forward to a beautifully immersive experience.

These are just a few of the amazing features supported by the Snapdragon 810. To read more, and to see what a number of device makers and operators are saying about the new processor, check out the official press release.
