After taking some time to celebrate the holidays with friends and family—reminisce about the past year, and look forward to the next—many of us gadget geeks will be flocking to the desert where the annual celebration of what’s next in CE will reign. If you guessed Burning Man, guess again (that one takes place around Labor Day). I’m talking about the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) happening in Las Vegas, January 6-9.
Like every show before it, it’s sure to be a party, a celebration of Invention. That’s what CES is really about—celebrating all those tech ideas that came out of some brainstorm session… or lab… or coffee shop… or maybe someone’s garage. No matter where it came from, it has evolved into the big time—making it to the CES show floor. And as is usual, the preshow question is, “What’s hot this year?”
Wearables? Connected cars? Virtual reality? Drones and robots? Connected homes? Oval-shaped TVs? Smell-o-vision? Smart utensils? (Don’t laugh, it was done at CES 2013.) Or maybe it’s something that will catch us all by surprise—something completely unexpected. Most attendees can hardly wait.
Actually, why wait? Check out Qualcomm’s 2015 CES page for the latest updates and clues as to what’s coming. To see the next big breakthroughs in mobile, go to the main Qualcomm booth located in Central Hall #8252. We’ll also be located in the South Hall 2 #26220 and in the CES Cetral Plaza #CP21a.
We can’t wait to see you there!
UPDATE: The Qualcomm Demo Buddy app for CES 2015 is available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play! Links to the apps are on the www.qualcomm.com/ces page.
