LG G3 Vigor: robust features and clean design

The mini version of the flagship LG G3 smartphone, called the LG G3 Vigor, has arrived at Sprint and AT&T.

Powered by a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 400 processor, the Vigor is true to its name. It runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) with a 5-inch HD IPS display, 8GB of memory and 1GB RAM. The 8-megapixel rear-facing camera has 4x digital zoom and laser auto focus. All of this is packed into a sleek frame at only 10.4mm thick and weighing just 4.73 ounces.

Anybody familiar with the G3 series will recognize LG’s dedication to practical, user-centered features and stylishly clean hardware design. HD Voice capability automatically reduces unwanted background noise, and means that conversations will come through clearly, even in noisy environments. With QSlide 2.0 using multiple apps simultaneously is simple. Easily layer up to three different applications over one another and fully control the size and transparency of each app with familiar swipe and pinch motions.

The G3 Vigor keeps the allure of selfies in mind, featuring a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and Gesture Shot (which lets users trigger the shutter just by clenching their hand when holding the phone). And it includes a serious security feature as well: Knock Code seals the phone up tight with a personalized pattern lock code of between 3 and 8 points that can be tapped anywhere on the display. That’s more than 86,000 unique code combinations to keep the device safe.

The LG G3 Vigor is expected to be available in Burgundy Red and Metallic Black at Sprint, and in Silk White at AT&T.
