A Snapdragon 800 processor was my best man

Last weekend my wedding was powered in part by a Snapdragon™ processor.

The love of my life arrived to the US from Spain last week through a fiancée visa. It required that we were married shortly after she arrived, which meant our more formal wedding in España would have to wait until next year. For this initial ceremony, my parents came out and my father married us as “Deputy Marriage Commissioner for a Day.” Of course, we wanted to share this moment with our extended families and friends.

Initially the plan was to use our tablets on the WiFi at San Diego’s famous Balboa Park, but the 4G LTE connections on our black and white “His & Hers” LG G2s (powered of course by the all-in-one Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 800 processor) were much faster and smoother. So we quickly switched over to our smartphones and the integrated Qualcomm Gobi™ modems. Using Google Hangouts, we live streamed our ceremony for my siblings and grandmothers on the East Coast and Sonia’s friends and family all across Europe.

Afterwards, when my parents caught their flight home, and my buddy from college and his wife departed along with their photography skills and fancy DSLR cameras, we still had the awesome camera capabilities of the G2. We were happy to have great shots like this during our sunset stroll along Coronado Beach.

During this special weekend, in order to capture once-in-a-lifetime moments, I found myself needing the fastest LTE connection, superior camera quality, and all-day battery life. Luckily, I also found myself with a Snapdragon powered device inside my suit pocket.
