Are you one of those diehard baseball fans who checks box scores on your smartphone while watching a game at the stadium? Are you posting your ballpark photos to Instagram, Twitter and Facebook while attempting to catch that ever elusive foul ball?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may have what it takes to win a really cool prize, and maybe even the grand prize.
You may also not realize it, but you’re familiar with the art of “FANtasking”—a term coined by Qualcomm to showcase the new and endless possibilities a connected ballpark brings. We’re introducing the term—a combination of the words “fan” and “multitasking”—to sports fans everywhere with the Qualcomm FANtasking Facebook tab. It’s part of our ongoing collaboration with MLB Advanced Media.
How does FANtasking work?
The opportunities for FANtasking are endless. Maybe you’re monitoring the pennant race while also uploading pictures of peanuts and crackerjacks to Twitter. Perhaps you’re updating your fantasy roster in real time while cheering on your favorite team.
Qualcomm wants to know how baseball fans are FANtasking—so here’s how the FANtasking Facebook tab works:
Contest—Most Valuable FANtasker
To help inspire baseball fans to create their own FANtasking content, a “Most Valuable FANtasker” contest will run, on a weekly basis, through October 25. Fans submit photos to the FANtasking Facebook tab or tweet using #FANtasking, and each week’s winner will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered mobile device and see their content featured on the tab. The weekly winners will automatically be entered for the chance to win the grand prize: a trip for two to Opening Day 2014 at the ballpark of the winner’s choice. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Void where prohibited. Check out the official contest rules here.
