Recently in Chicago, Qualcomm Chairman and CEO Paul Jacobs was named the winner of the 2013 Edison Achievement Award, which recognizes inspirational leaders who are making “a significant and lasting contribution to the world of innovation.”
Prior to the awards presentation, Dr. Philip Krein, Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois and 2012-2013 Edison Awards Steering Committee Member, visited Dr. Jacobs at the Qualcomm Museum to discuss the award and what it means to Dr. Jacobs and Qualcomm. The Edison Achievement Award recognizes individuals for their contribution to human-centered design, the value and differentiation they create, the positive influence they have on existing, new and emerging markets and the impact they have on the world.
