OnQ Blog

Hi all. Long time no blog…

We just wrapped up the submission process for our Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship and I’m happy to report that we had 80 teams of PhDs submit applications! UCSD leads the charge with (19) submissions, Berkeley (16), Stanford (14) and UCLA (14). These PhD teams submitted proposals in areas like Low Power and Power Efficiency, Parallel Computing, Machine Learning and Neomorphic Computing, Augmented Reality and Snapdragon applications.

We are extremely excited about the level of interest generated by the Innovation Fellowship competition and are finding this competition a great way to connect student research with our own. We will be selecting four winning teams from this pool of 80, and the winning teams will receive (2) $50,000 fellowships from Qualcomm as well as support to turn their proposal into an actual R&D project!

The four winning teams will be announced on May 13th and I’ll update you here as to who the final winners are once they have been selected. Best of luck on your upcoming finals; you’re almost there! Until next time…
