The Invent-Off teams were challenged to use the DragonBoard™ 410c development board as the brains of their invention. It features a 64-bit, quad-core A53 Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 410 processor and is compliant with the 96Boards Consumer Edition open hardware specification. The credit-card sized board supports Android 5.1 (Lollipop) on Linux Kernel 3.10, Linux based on Debian 8.0, Windows 10 IoT Core, with planned support for Ubuntu Core.
Qualcomm Snapdragon is a product of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
The challenge facing our inventors was a big one – build something that can help save a life. So it was critical the inventors be outfitted with an array of different types of tools and resources. Thanks to Full Spectrum, there were 3D printers and Laser Cutters on hand. Provided in the kit were also an array of components to connect with the DragonBoard 410c, including 96Boards compliant mezzanine boards.
For those ready to join the growing community of developers creating with the DragonBoard 410c, the Qualcomm Developer Network offers a host of tools and resources available to help get you started. There’s also a growing list of community projects for inspiration from other developers, and our blog is filled with highlights of developer inventions. Examples include the winner of the Qualcomm Maker Month Contest, as well as the winner of the 2016 AT&T Developer Summit Hackathon and their life saving solution. Be sure to tell us what you invent so we can highlight you too!
