Focusing our outreach.
We’re working to recruit, retain and provide career development for women, minorities, people with disabilities and veterans entering the civilian workforce. We proactively share our list of job openings with organizations that support employment initiatives for these populations.
Diverse employee networks provide career support and resources for various employee populations, including women, minorities, military veterans, individuals with disabilities, LGBT and others. In addition, we support a broad range of community organizations that foster inclusion, encourage diversity and are committed to advancing opportunities for minorities.
Science, technology, engineering and math, known collectively as STEM, are essential for invention. Experts in these disciplines are critical to our business and crucial for communities everywhere. We’re working to promote and improve STEM education from grade school through graduate school and to expand opportunities for underrepresented students.
Qualcomm is committed to equity and equality throughout Qualcomm. The relatively low numbers of women and minorities in STEM-related fields, however, is a longstanding issue—not only for us, but also for our industry. We’re addressing gaps in our talent pipeline so that we can increase diversity in our technical roles and in leadership positions companywide.
Qualcomm is providing more detailed data about race, gender and ethnicity in our workplace. We are sharing this data to increase awareness about this important topic.
