The music venue at Nashville Yards is set to be the most technologically advanced of its kind.

The state-of-the-art music venue in Nashville, Tennessee has implemented an advanced in-building Distributed Antenna System (DAS) that supports all 5G spectrum bands and major wireless carrier services. This means that performers, fans, and staff can enjoy uninterrupted mobile connectivity and improved venue operations. 

5G drones and private networks can aid in disaster management and response.

To reach people stranded in disaster zones, 5G-equipped flying “cells on wings” or COWs, connect to trucks on the ground serving as communication and power bases, and 5G private network-enabled robots learn to find their way inside buildings – two ways 5G technology can potentially take disaster management into a safer future.

John Deere, a global leader in delivering agricultural, turf, construction, and forestry equipment, is building a private 5G network to support the exponential growth of IoT sensors in the factory. The factory expects to grow, adding 20 times the sensors it has today. A dense 5G network environment is needed to process more data from the company’s equipment.

This season, the 5G network at the iconic stadium will also help Major League Baseball (MLB) test automated ball-strike (ABS) technology during certain games. 5G’s secure and ultra-low latency improve the ability of players, umpires and officials to analyze and challenge calls.
