EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer, Qualcomm Incorporated

Heather Ace is EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer of Qualcomm Incorporated. In this role, Ace has direct responsibility for all human resources functions at Qualcomm including learning and development, organization planning, compensation, benefits, employee relations, corporate social responsibility, staffing, real estate, facilities, employee communications, global inclusion and diversity, and security, for over 37,000 employees worldwide. Ace also serves as a member of Qualcomm's executive committee. Ace joined Qualcomm in March 2020.

Previously, Ace was the chief human resources officer at Dexcom, reporting to the CEO, and serving as a member of the executive leadership team, and leading all aspects of HR, including working closely with the board of directors, compensation committee, and playing a key role in aligning the executive leadership team on companywide strategic priorities and operational planning and execution. Prior to Dexcom, Ace served as the EVP of global HR at Orexigen Therapeutics, the Business Integration Leader for Royal Philips’ HealthTech acquisition of Volcano Corporation, the EVP of global HR at Volcano Corporation, and held various HR executive roles at Life Technologies. Ace also was a partner at Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich (now DLA Piper), where she practiced litigation and employment law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Law & Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a JD from Santa Clara School of Law.
