Now available: HTC One (M8) Google Play edition

HTC One Google Play edition now available to order

The HTC One (M8) has received the Google Play treatment, offering a refined experience for Android purists. The One (M8) Google Play edition’s stock Android software offers fluid navigation and automatic updates straight from Google.

Featuring the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor found in the original HTC One (M8), the Google Play edition is designed to offer the same smooth performance, prolonged battery life, and swift camera shooting. And even though HTC’s Sense software has been stripped out, the GPe still takes advantage of the UltraPixel Duo Camera and Motion Launch controls.

Loaded onto the Google Play Edition is the stock version of Android 4.4 KitKat—meaning YouTube, Google Maps, Google Now, and Gmail are all native to the GPe. Add in the prospect of access to the latest Android version, and you have a fitting complement to the One (M8)’s impressive hardware.

The unlocked HTC One (M8) Google Play edition is available now, exclusively at the Google Play store.
