Best Buy and Sprint offer students a smart deal

Best Buy Sprint deal for students

If you, or a student in your life, are looking to get a new smartphone this holiday season, Best Buy and Sprint are giving you a really good reason to shop with them first. Now through Jan. 4, 2014, Best Buy and Sprint are giving students 12 months of free talk, text and data from Sprint when they buy a Sprint phone at the Student Activated Price at Best Buy and activate a new line of service on an Unlimited, My Way plan, which includes unlimited talk, text and 1GB data each month for smartphones.

Students stand to save up to $70 a month while getting their hands on this season’s hottest smartphones, many of which are powered by all-in-one, battery-saving Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ processors.

The Sprint plan includes unlimited talk, unlimited text and 1GB data for smartphones or unlimited talk and unlimited text for basic phones. For unlimited studying, there is also an option to easily add unlimited data for $10 per month. Another great perk— the deal doesn’t require a two-year agreement on the students’ lines.

You can take advantage of this promotion at nationwide Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores by purchasing a phone from Best Buy with Student Activated Prices (don’t forget to take advantage of in-store Trade-In options), paying a one-time $36 activation fee and monthly taxes and surcharges and then validating the student status to Sprint within 14 days of activation.

Students can also get rewarded with an additional 12 months of free service for every additional new referral phone line of service activated on Unlimited, My Way or My All-in plans to the same account at Best Buy.

So now that you know where to get a great deal on your monthly bill—what smartphone are you looking to put at the top of your holiday list?
