Top apps as Google Play hits 1 million mark

A year ago, Google Play had exactly half the apps they have today. 50 billion downloads and one million apps later, Google is making waves in the app marketplace. Meanwhile, Android takes the cake as the most popular smartphone platform with the most apps available for download. Google isn’t planning to slow down anytime soon, either. With their one-millionth app announcement, they also decided to release their newest installment: a tablet-optimized section for apps in their top lists. Check out the top 12 apps from both the editor’s choice and free apps lists on Google Play, available for download on your multi-tasking Snapdragon powered smartphone or tablet.
