Good things come in small(er) packages with the HTC One mini

The HTC One has become one of the most popular Android devices this year, known for its sleek design and intuitive user experience. The newly announced HTC One mini, powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 400 processor, designed for battery-optimizing high performance, is perfect for those who love the HTC One but are looking for a device that’s just a touch smaller and more affordable. Noticeably lighter and just a touch thinner than the already slim 0.37 inch HTC One, the HTC One mini has the same sleek, striking design as its older brother. In fact, with its glass, aluminum and polycarbonate body it might be hard to tell them apart.

While still bearing the same premium look and feel, the mini has slightly smaller BoomSound speakers and smaller display -- 4.3 inches compared to the the original’s 4.7 inches, with 720p resolution compared with 1080p. Still, early reviewers are impressed at the sharp, crisp images that brightly pop off the screen.

The HTC One mini retains the excellent 4MP UltraPixel camera found on the flagship HTC One, with multiple flash settings for the right lighting for your photos. It comes with Android 4.2.2 out of the box and the Sense 5.0 system that HTC One users love for how intuitive and easy it is to use.

HTC has indicated that the HTC One mini will be released in select regions in August, with global rollout in September.
