The sweet sounds of the HTC 8XT: Sprint’s first Windows Phone 8 smartphone

HTC 8XT Windows Phone

Available July 19th, the HTC 8XT, with a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 400 processor, is the first Windows Phone 8 smartphone to be available on the Sprint network–and is the very first Windows Phone with HTC BoomSound™.

BoomSound delivers bigger, better sound with less distortion and more detail with dual front-facing stereo speakers and a dedicated amplifier. Add to that Beats Audio™ for studio-quality sound with unique audio tuning for thundering bass, soaring midrange and crisp highs and the HTC 8XT is easily a music lover’s smartphone.

With its Snapdragon 400 processor, the phone is designed to support 4G LTE high-speed connections for seamless music streaming and movie watching. The HTC 8XT also has 1080p video capture, an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash support, multi-shot burst mode to help capture the best picture of a moving subject, and a dedicated Windows Phone camera button to open the camera quickly, even when the phone is locked or sleeping, so you never miss capturing a photo.

All these features are packed behind a 4.3-inch display that’s just 10mm thin and tapered on the edges for a sleek look inspired by the HTC design that won the prestigious “red dot award: product design 2013.”

The phone is available from Sprint for $100 after a $50 mail-in rebate and two-year commitment.
