CardioNet is the first company to develop and introduce a fully mobile, continuous cardiac monitoring service for diagnostics – allowing heartbeat-by-heartbeat ECG monitoring as patients go about their normal daily activities. The company is focused on helping physicians detect and therefore treat cardiac arrhythmias.
The CardioNet service is comprised of a PDA-sized monitor for continuous ECG monitoring, communication services to a CardioNet server, and abstracted and detailed reports that are analyzed on a 24/7/365 basis by certified cardiovascular technicians.
The Need for Reliable Data Delivery
For CardioNet, and the physicians and patients it serves, its solution for mobile cardiac telemetry is time sensitive – time saved in diagnosis could be life saving. - Qualcomm also integrated its advanced communication protocol and communication management technology with CardioNet’s monitoring devices, adding to the reliability of data exchange and assuring that messages would not be lost.
