Samir Kumar

Director, Business Development

Samir Kumar is a director of business development at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for technology transfer and driving projects to successful market validation and commercialization on behalf of Qualcomm Zeroth. He also collaborates with potential start-ups and key partners to build interest in a variety of research initiatives. Kumar joined Qualcomm in 2012.

Prior to Qualcomm, Kumar worked at Samsung where scouted and sourced prototype innovation from start-ups; negotiated technology integration agreements between Samsung and various start-ups; and managed relationships between Samsung and the Silicon Valley entrepreneur/venture capital community. Before Samsung, Kumar drove product planning for WebOS at Palm. Kumar started his career at Microsoft where he held various positions in sales, product management and planning for Windows Mobile.
