Rich Sulpizio

President and Chief Executive Officer, Qualcomm Enterprise Services

Rich Sulpizio is president and CEO of Qualcomm Enterprise Services (QES), a title that recognizes his former positions in Qualcomm as both president and a Board member. Sulpizio possesses more than 20 years of leadership experience in the Company and in this role he provides the critical strategic and operational vision to grow QES' market share globally.

Sulpizio joined Qualcomm in 1991. In 1994, he was appointed president of Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions (now QES). Four years later, he became Qualcomm’s president and COO. He retired as president and COO in 2001. In 2002, he rejoined Qualcomm to serve as interim president of Qualcomm China and then took the helm of Qualcomm Europe in 2004. Most recently in 2005, Sulpizio was appointed as interim president of MediaFLO USA, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm, and was chartered with overseeing the development and deployment of MediaFLO technology and bringing multimedia services to the wireless industry.

Before joining Qualcomm, Sulpizio worked at Unisys Corporation and Fluor Corporation.

Sulpizio serves on the board of directors at ResMed, Inc. and CA, Inc. He is also on the advisory board of the University of California San Diego’s Sulpizio Family Cardiovascular Center and a board member of the Danny Thompson Memorial Leukemia Foundation. Sulpizio previously served on Qualcomm’s board of directors from 2000 until 2007.

Sulpizio earned a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Los Angeles and a Master of Science in systems management from the University of Southern California.
