Jing Wang
Executive Vice President and President, Global Business Operations
Jing Wang serves as executive vice president and president of global business operations for Qualcomm and is a member of the company’s executive and investment committees. In his current role, he is responsible for defining and implementing Qualcomm’s international business strategies and managing all of Qualcomm’s international business-focused offices, including those in Latin America, Europe, Japan, Korea, China, India, Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Africa.
Jing serves as a director on the boards of Qualcomm Wireless Communication Technologies Ltd. and Qualcomm Wireless Semi-Conductor Technologies Ltd., two wholly-foreign-owned enterprises established in China. He is also Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tianyi BREW Technologies Ltd., a joint venture between China Telecom and Qualcomm.
Prior to his current role, Jing was responsible for overseeing Qualcomm’s businesses in Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa. He played a key role in formulating and implementing Qualcomm’s overall business strategies in these regions including the negotiation of and signing of CDMA2000 and WCDMA IPR license agreements with all major Chinese telecom vendors.
In 2005, Jing was acknowledged by major media in mainland China and Hong Kong as one of the “Ten Most Valuable CEOs” in China. In 2007, he was honored by the same group of major media to receive the award of “Sustained Value.”
Jing received his bachelor’s degree from Anhui University, an LL.M from the People’s University of China, Department of Law, and an LL.M from the University of Virginia School of Law.
