James Lederer

Executive Vice President and General Manager, Qualcomm CDMA Technologies

James Lederer serves as Executive Vice President of Qualcomm and General Manager of Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT), the world's largest provider of wireless chipsets and software solutions. As EVP and GM, Lederer is responsible for broad oversight of QCT's ongoing operations and maintains direct oversight of the division's finance and accounting organizations. In addition, he is a member of Qualcomm's Executive Committee.

Lederer joined the Company in 1997 as a senior manager in Qualcomm's Corporate Strategic Finance Group, bringing 15 years of business and financial experience to the job. Quickly advancing within the organization, Lederer joined Qualcomm's largest division, QCT, in 1999. He was promoted to vice president in 2001, assuming responsibility for the worldwide QCT finance organization. Prior to taking on a role as EVP of business planning and finance, he served for three years as senior vice president on QCT's senior management team, playing a key role in the growth of the division during this time. Lederer earned the additional role of GM of QCT in 2009.

Lederer's earlier career includes a seven-year stint at General Motors where he was responsible for the worldwide financial analysis and corporate reporting of a $1.8 billion division. Immediately prior to joining the Qualcomm team, he spent four years at Motorola, working with multiple business units and manufacturing facilities and as finance manager within the company's cellular products division.

Lederer has been active in coaching community youth athletics and volunteer church activities for more than 25 years. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance and a master's degree in business administration, both awarded by the State University of New York at Buffalo.
