Erin Gavin

Manager

Erin Gavin is a manager of Government Affairs for Qualcomm, Incorporated. In this role, Erin manages Qualcomm’s Wireless Reach™ initiatives in Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea and parts of Africa. Her focus is on mWomen and entrepreneurship programs and she leads the annual Wireless Reach proposal process. Wireless Reach is a strategic program that brings wireless technology to underserved communities globally. By working with partners, Wireless Reach invests in projects that foster entrepreneurship, aid in public safety, enhance the delivery of health care, enrich teaching and learning and improve environmental sustainability. The goal of Wireless Reach is to create sustainable advanced wireless projects that strengthen economic and social development with a focus on education, entrepreneurship, health care, the environment and public safety.

Erin has seven years of experience at Qualcomm, most recently with FLO TV™ where she developed and implemented the event strategy and portfolio plan for business to business and consumer related events in the wireless and media/entertainment industries. Previously, she served as the senior marketing coordinator for Qualcomm MEMS Technologies where she managed numerous projects including the development of the brand, creation of the Intranet and partner events, sponsorships, presentations and demonstrations.

Prior to her work at Qualcomm, Erin managed the Training and Development efforts for the Hotel del Coronado and Loews Coronado Bay Resort. Erin received her Master’s Degree in Organizational and Intercultural Communications from Arizona State University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Communications from University of Hawaii, Hilo.
