David Wise is senior vice president of Strategy & Finance and global market development (GMD) of Qualcomm Incorporated. In his role Wise is responsible for driving new business incubation within GMD and oversee Strategy and Finance for Qualcomm services businesses. Wise also oversees Qualcomm Labs, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm focused on fast-tracking selected new wireless product and service businesses that leverage Qualcomm’s core technology.
Previously, Wise led Qualcomm’s Corporate Strategic Finance team, overseeing corporate financial planning and analysis, corporate strategy analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and finance support for R&D and e shared services. In that role, he was deeply involved in the development of Qualcomm’s overall business strategy and led Qualcomm’s budget and planning process.
Prior to joining Qualcomm, Wise worked for the Investment Banking group at Dean Witter Reynolds.
Wise holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Bates College and an MBA from University of Virginia.
