Dr. Daniel L. Sullivan

Executive Vice President, Human Resources, Qualcomm Incorporated

Dr. Daniel Sullivan serves as executive vice president of human resources of Qualcomm Incorporated. In this role, Dr. Sullivan has direct responsibility for all human resources functions at Qualcomm including: leadership development, organization planning, compensation, benefits, learning, employee relations, corporate social responsibility, staffing, employee communication and real estate for the Company's 21,000+ employees worldwide. Dr. Sullivan also serves as a member of Qualcomm’s executive committee.

Dr. Sullivan joined the Company as director of human resources in April 1992. He was promoted to vice president of human resources in February 1994, to senior vice president in February 1996 and to executive vice president in August 2001. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Dr. Sullivan served in senior human resources leadership roles in the technology sector.

Dr. Sullivan currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the San Diego Economic Development Corporation, member of the Board of Trustees of The Bishops' School and member of the Board of Directors for the Old Globe Theater.

Under the direction of Dr. Sullivan, Qualcomm has earned a reputation as one of the nation's leading employers. For thirteen consecutive years, FORTUNE named Qualcomm one of the "100 Best Companies to Work for in America.” Qualcomm has also been recognized on Industry Week’s 100 Best Managed Companies list, Newsweek’s Green Rankings and by the Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights Under Law with the 2010 Higginbotham Corporate Leadership Award.

Dr. Sullivan holds a Ph.D. in organization communication from the University of Nebraska. He also holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees in communication from Illinois State University and West Virginia University, respectively.
