Andrew Gilbert serves as an executive vice president, European Innovation Development at Qualcomm. He also serves as a member of Qualcomm’s executive committee.

Gilbert joined Qualcomm in 2006 as president of Qualcomm Europe where he provided strategic direction and oversight of all Qualcomm business development and operational activity in Europe and has served in many roles including president of MediaFLO Technologies and president of Qualcomm Internet Services.

Prior to joining Qualcomm, Gilbert served as vice president and general manager of Flarion Technologies’ European, Middle Eastern and African regions (EMEA), responsible for EMEA strategy and operations. His leadership contributions guided Flarion’s European business through technical and commercial validation with global operators such as T-Mobile and Vodafone, and ultimately to multiple commercial deployments of FLASH-OFDM with T-Mobile in Slovakia and Germany, and with Digita in Finland.

Gilbert is a representative on the Wholesale Applications Community Board and also serves as a member of the nPhase Board executive team, a joint venture between Qualcomm and Verizon that is leading the movement toward mainstream adoption of M2M.
