EV-DO Advanced is an evolution of the EV-DO technology that provides higher network capacity and better user experience. It consists of 3 main features: Smart Networks, Enhanced Connection Management and Advanced Devices.
Smart Networks leverage unevenness in network loading and allocate resources dynamically in an efficient manner. Much of it can be achieved by means of a software upgrade to the infrastructure and legacy devices can benefit too.
