- Support Qualcomm licensees in handset designs by using QCT chipset solutions which include CDMA2000 (1x, EVDO) and UMTS (WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE); gain expertise on QCT roadmaps, platform technologies, chipset capabilities and limitations. - Manage customer product roadmap and planning; work closely with the customer on product requirements and project development; align customer schedule and launch plans with QCT roadmap and AMSS/DMSS software schedule. - Manage customer project during the entire development and deployment cycle; take the lead to coordinate customer design reviews, technical support and training needs and issue resolution with regional and headquarter apps. - Manage customer technical requirement; maintain a smooth bridge between the customer and QCT apps team; coordinate with apps team and prioritize customer issues and offer fast responses. - Work closely with Sales and Product Marketing to expedite issue resolution and meet customer requirement. - Provide regular update on customer product development, testing and launch plans to upper management and apps team.

The ideal candidate would thrive in a customer facing role, helping customers troubleshoot and enabling Qualcomm chipsets in their products to market. QCTs SoCs provide integrated solutions for computing and mobile phone products worldwide. These integrated solutions include reference platform and software. OEMs base their computing and phone products on this reference platform and try to re-use the reference software. Since their designs diverge from the reference design, the software provided will not run out of the box, it will require their design specific customizations, additions and optimizations. Customer Engineering (CE) team helps customers with the design specific customizations from boot, bring up, power/performance and stability from concept design to final product. CE team does design reviews, customer documentation, training, answering technical questions, . This is very hands on technical job requiring below skill and experience. This particular role is in the Windows Customer Engineering team and enables the candidate develop strong expertise in the QCT integrated solutions, but also exposes to the latest and greatest OS developments in the industry through early engagements with OS vendors, OEMs and ODMs. The role requires interfacing with Microsoft, Windows OEMs and internal Qualcomm teams while working on cutting edge technology. Some travel to customer sites for onsite support and to Qualcomm offices in U.S. and abroad for training and meetings may be required.
