Qualcomm Honored as Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation

– November 15, 2001 – Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM) today announced that it has been recognized as the "Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation" for National Philanthropy Day 2001 by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Dr. Daniel L. Sullivan, executive vice president of Human Resources for Qualcomm, accepted the award on Qualcomm's behalf at a ceremony held yesterday in San Diego.

Qualcomm was recognized for its commitment to philanthropy and creating meaningful community partnerships. Qualcomm's Corporate Giving program is dedicated to supporting the communities in which Qualcomm employees work and live through both cash and non-cash donations to eligible non-profit organizations. Qualcomm seeks to improve math and science education in San Diego, foster access to and proliferate a variety of arts and culture programs, and support health and human services.

"Qualcomm is honored to receive this award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals," said Dr. Sullivan. "This recognition highlights Qualcomm's philosophy of community involvement and volunteerism and its commitment to serving its communities through innovative philanthropy programs."
