Qualcomm Announces Shipment of Over 400,000 OmniTRACS Units

– October 23, 2001 – SAN DIEGO -- October 23, 2001 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), the leader in mobile communications for the transportation industry, today announced it has shipped over 400,000 OmniTRACS® mobile communications system units. The OmniTRACS system successfully provides satellite-based two-way data messaging, automatic vehicle positioning, and complete dispatch and back-office integration capabilities.
