SnapTrack Names Steve Brown to Top Sales Post

– October 15, 2001 – Campbell, Calif. -- October 15, 2001 -- SnapTrack, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), today announced the appointment of Steve Brown to vice president of worldwide sales for SnapTrack. Based at SnapTrack headquarters in Campbell, California, Brown brings 15 years of high-tech and communications experience to SnapTrack's team and will have full responsibility for sales and business development on a global basis. Brown will manage SnapTrack's worldwide sales and applications engineering team, and sell SnapTrack products to major systems, platform and infrastructure OEMs, systems integrators and strategic partners, who enable safety and value-added location-based systems for wireless carriers and service bureaus worldwide.

Brown formerly served as vice president of sales for Corsair Communications, and was responsible for prepaid wireless solutions, and new distribution and development partnerships. Brown was also responsible for developing business and growth strategies for the company's Asia market, establishing new business and distribution partners throughout the region. Brown's 15-year career also encompasses experience at Octel Communications, Hewelett-Packard and Quantum Corporation.
