Qualcomm and Anritsu Expand CDMA License Agreement

– December 18, 2000 – SAN DIEGO -- December 18, 2000 -- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM) and Anritsu Corporation today announced that they have entered into an amendment to Anritsu's existing Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) test equipment license agreement with Qualcomm. Prior to the amendment, Anritsu's CDMA license covered only cdmaOne™ applications. With the amendment, Anritsu's CDMA agreement has now been expanded to grant Anritsu a royalty-bearing license under Qualcomm's essential CDMA patent portfolio to develop, manufacture and sell test equipment for third-generation (3G) CDMA (WCDMA, cdma2000, TD-SCDMA) and 1xEV (HDR) applications.
