This presentation highlights the key benefits of EV-DO Rev. B. It shows that multicarrier offers enhanced broadband experience across the cell through tripled data rates and improved latency (response time) for all users. It also illustrates how multicarrier can more than double the capacity for bursty applications such as web browsing or trade it off for improved user experience (latency). The presentation establishes that EV-DO Rev. B is a cost-effective evolution path from Rev. A, because of software upgrade to Phase I (multicarrier) and simple channel card upgrade to Phase II. Further, it emphasizes the fact that Phase II of Rev. B provides even higher data rates and capacity.
