Recently, Wireless Reach sponsored a conference in Cape Town, South Africa that aimed to revolutionize the health care industry by addressing critical barriers and helping to create best practices for the emerging mobile health ecosystem. As an attendee at the event, I was able to observe the influence of mobility on health care worldwide.

Recently, on behalf of Wireless Reach, I had the opportunity to announce the results of our first project in the Middle East – the Egypt Teledermatology Pilot Project – which serves as an example of how mobile devices can provide a viable medical solution for Egypt’s health care system.
On March 3, I participated in a Computer Lab Sustainability Showcase and Awards Ceremony in Jakarta, which celebrated the success and completion of Wireless Reach’s first ever project. Wireless Reach is a strategic program that brings wireless technology to underserved communities globally and, through its work with partners, invests in projects that foster entrepreneurship, aid in public safety, enhance the delivery of health care, enrich teaching and learning and improve environmental sustainability.
