Happy Earth Day!

Did you know that today marks the 43^rd anniversary of what many consider the founding of the modern environmental movement? On April 22, 1970, nearly 20 million Americans held coast-to-coast rallies in support of Mother Nature.

Earlier this month, San Diego hosted the 2013 Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) conference, themed as Audacious Leadership: Disruptive, Innovative Leaders are Defining a New Vision and are Building 21st Century Learning Environments.

Last week, the health information technology industry met at HIMSS 2013 in New Orleans. My company, Zephyr Technology, exhibited its solutions as part of the Qualcomm pavilion, to demonstrate how far we have come in bringing affordable patient monitoring to hospitals and into patients’ homes.

Last month, I had the opportunity to attend the Vodafone Foundation and London Business School’s Mobile for Good Summit in London, which focused on the transformative power of mobile technology in communities around the globe. For me, the event solidified the notion that mobile is more than an enabler; it is a multiplier and game changer that cuts across all sectors, including healthcare, education, and entrepreneurship.
