What is Qualcomm’s Next Big Idea?

The interns may have the answer.

Earlier this summer, the 2013 Intern Idea Quest kicked off by challenging Qualcomm’s U.S.-based interns to imagine Qualcomm’s next big idea, and to develop a ground-breaking concept. More than 110 entries were submitted, and after weeks of deliberation by employee judges, 10 of the best entries were selected for the final showcase, slated for August 8, at Qualcomm’s main campus café.

Enter the Pictures of Tomorrow contest and help make a difference in 2012

Working for Qualcomm, I’ve enjoyed some amazing opportunities to visit numerous foreign countries and experience many diverse cultures over the years. The sound of laughter makes people smile whether you’re in Paris or Peru. Good music is enjoyed by people from New York to Nigeria.

Giving Interns a Voice: POLITICO Summer School

On August 3, I joined over 300 interns at summer school. You may be wondering why anyone would be excited about school in the summer, but POLITICO Summer School was hardly your typical academic program. The event, hosted by POLITICO’s Mike Allen and Emily Schultheis, featured introductory remarks by Qualcomm’s very own Bill Bold, Senior Vice President of Global Government Affairs and a former Congressional intern, followed by a panel of famous former interns: NBC’s Chuck Todd, White House Deputy Communications Director Jen Psaki, and Sergio Rodriguera, chief speechwriter to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

Women, Innovation, and the Power of Mobile

As we continue to look for ways to grow our economy, it’s important that we fully utilize all of the innovative and creative talent we have in our country. That’s why I’m so excited to be featured with Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz (Florida) and Intellectual Property Czar Victoria Espinel at the Second Annual GlobalWIN Luncheon in Washington, DC, on July 26 in the Library of Congress.

Repatriation: A Win for the US Economy

The latest round of gloomy economic numbers should add greater urgency to bipartisan efforts to pass repatriation legislation. American businesses have an estimated $1 trillion sitting offshore, and many in Congress would like to bring that cash home with a lower tax rate as an incentive.
