Awaiting final FIA Homologation, the track was designed by Rodrigo Nunes, who worked in close cooperation with the FIA, Formula E, the Republic of China Motor Sport Federation (FASC), the Olympic Park Committee, the Beijing Mayor, the Chinese Government and event organizer Team China Racing.

Beijing’s Formula E street circuit envelops some impressive cityscape, including the Beijing Olympic Stadium (a.k.a., the Bird Nest) and the Beijing National Aquatics Center.

Seeing Formula E not only as a viable test bed for future automobile technologies and new mobile experiences, but also an opportunity to promote sustainable living and pollution reduction around the globe, Qualcomm became a Founding Technology Partner of FIA Formula E Championship. For the race series, Qualcomm is implementing its wireless electric vehicle charging system and new, connected fan experiences.
