Snapdragon 400 is Smooth -- Fish-Tank Benchmark

MAR 21, 2013
This video shows how the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2GHz custom designed, dual-core Krait CPUs can deliver a smooth web surfing experience. The Fish Tank IE test is a GPU-accelerated web page that runs in your web browser. We take the native browsers and showcase how smoothly and fast the fishes move in a virtual fish tank on a device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor compared to a device running on a competitor's 1.2GHz quad-core processor. This goes to show: More CPU cores doesn't necessarily mean better performance.

Snapdragon 400 System-Level Benchmarks Performance Comparison

MAR 21, 2013
The video takes a widely used system-level benchmark and runs it through its course comparing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2GHz custom designed, dual-core Krait CPUs with a competitor's 1.2GHz quad-core processor. This particular benchmark tests all the major components in a processor (aside from the number of CPU cores), including memory, I/O, and 2D/3D graphics. The scores speak for themselves, which goes to show: More CPU cores doesn't necessarily mean better performance.

Snapdragon 400 Gaming Benchmarks -- Gaming Without the Dropped Frames

MAR 21, 2013
In this video, we take two widely used gaming benchmarks to test both speed and ability to render smooth graphics without dropping frames. See the performance results of a device with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2GHz custom designed, dual-core Krait CPUs compared to a device, running on a competitor's 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The two apps shown in this video are publicly available on Android. This goes to show: More CPU cores doesn't necessarily mean better performance.

Snapdragon 400 GPS Performance -- Faster Location Fix, More Satellites in View

MAR 21, 2013
The video starts with a popular maps application and shows how fast a device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2GHz dual-core CPUs acquires a GPS satellite signal and calculates a position solution. We then use a GPS test, which is publicly available on Android Play Store, to see how many active satellites are in view and ready in the Snapdragon device versus a competitive device. This goes to show: More CPU cores doesn't necessarily mean better performance.
