QIPL opened its location in Hyderabad in April 2004 and is designed to help keep pace with Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT) expanding business needs. Projects cover a wide span, including wireless modem and multimedia software, DSP and embedded applications. Multiple opportunities at various experience levels exist for research and development, test and customer support activities.
Qualcomm Internet Services (QIS) and the company’s Engineering Services Group have offices in Mumbai for marketing, BREW support and technical support for CDMA operators.
In 2004, Qualcomm acquired Spike Technologies, a leading semiconductor design services company with headquarters in Milpitas, California, and a design center in Bangalore. Spike Technologies has been integrated into Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT) division to help Qualcomm further address the increasing demand for faster time to market of more feature-rich products in 90 nanometer (nm) and below process technologies. The addition of Spike's engineering resources strongly complements Qualcomm's commitment to provide third-generation (3G ) CDMA customers and partners with design, sales and technical support around the world.
