University Relations

With current and future Qualcomm research and development projects focusing on a wider variety of research areas, Qualcomm R&D has created the University Relations Program to build stronger partnerships with universities. The program is targeting increased interaction and research collaboration with academia as well as further recruiting of graduates from emerging research areas.

Qualcomm Research Center Holds University Open House to Develop Stronger Collaboration with Academia

On October 10th, the first Qualcomm R&D University Open House was held to host academics from 10 California universities and allow them to learn more about ongoing Qualcomm research and have informal discussions with a wide variety of engineers from CR&D and OOTCS. The event was very successful with 29 professors, 128 post doctoral researchers and graduate students, as well as 6 university staff attending from Stanford, UCSD, UC Berkeley, USC, UCLA, SDSU, UCR, UCSB, UCI, and Caltech.
