An over-the-air trial network has been deployed on the Qualcomm Morehouse campus to demonstrate coverage and seamless mobility capabilities of Neighborhood Small Cells (NF). This network consists of 7 indoor small cells located in the halls and office spaces of 5 different buildings, providing extended coverage indoors to outdoors. Users running latency-sensitive applications experience continuous service while moving within the coverage area. The Neighborhood Small Cells Interactive Demo allows users to view information and location of these 7 small cells. Users can turn the small cells on/off to observe the resulting coverage in the area. The users can also select vehicular and pedestrian routes to observe the actual field data captured from the Over-The-Air network where the mobile device is performing seamless handovers between small cells while maintaining high downlink data throughput.
