Qualcomm supports a broad range of community organizations to sustain and support a better place for employees, family members, friends and customers.

The following is a list of some of our partner organizations:

  • National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science (GEM)
    Qualcomm has been a member of GEM for the past four years. GEM was established in 1976 to increase the number of Native American, African Americans, Latinos pursuing graduate degrees in engineering, physical science and natural science disciplines. GEM fellows also obtain practical work experience through summer internships.
  • National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
    NSBE's mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.
  • Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)
    SHPE is a leading social-technical organization whose primary function is to enhance the potential of Latinos in engineering, math and science. SHPE promotes the development of Latinos in engineering, science and other technical professions through educational excellence, economic opportunity and social equity.
  • Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
    The SWE inspires women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expands the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in the quality of life, and demonstrates the value of diversity.
  • Urban League of San Diego County
    The ULSDC assists African Americans and other people of color to achieve social and economic equality through advocacy, bridge building, program services and research.
