2010 Higginbotham Corporate Leadership Award

In 2000, the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law established the Higginbotham Corporate Leadership Award to recognize exemplary corporate leadership in advancing equal opportunity and diversity. The award is named in honor of Judge A. Leon Higginbotham Jr., a pioneering civil rights advocate, author and federal appeals court judge.

Innovation accelerated by diversity

Honoring Qualcomm employees worldwide, the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law has recognized Qualcomm for corporate leadership in advancing diversity and equal opportunity, by awarding our Chairman and CEO, Dr. Paul Jacobs with the 2010 Higginbotham Corporate Leadership Award.

Qualcomm believes that to have a global impact, you must build a truly global organization. The diverse backgrounds and the rich and varied perspectives of our people are essential to our innovation. And for twenty five years, these principles have guided the way we interact with our partners, our customers, one another and the communities in which we live and do business.

We believe that innovation accelerated by diversity is the way forward for any organization that wants to make a difference in the world. By embracing our unique perspectives, we all have the power to create value, to extend our reach and to have a positive impact.

Qualcomm is deeply committed to living up to the ideals put forward by Judge Higginbotham and by the Committee and shares in their vision for equal opportunity and justice for all.
