Improving Education With 3G
In the Speak Up 2011 U.S. National Findings Report published by Project Tomorrow, an education research organization, 74 percent of education leaders say mobile devices have the potential to increase student engagement. Wireless Reach developed its Education Initiative to study the impact of mobile learning worldwide and funds pilot programs that support the extension of education beyond the physical confines of the classroom, thus allowing students to access digital content, communicate with teachers and collaborate with each other anywhere and anytime. Mobile devices with 3G/4G broadband connectivity help ensure all students have the tools and inspiration needed to excel. For those living at the base of the pyramid with no access to formal education, low-cost mobile phones have the power to bring helpful content to children and adults, providing informal learning opportunities to those most in need.
